My year in Mendocino were filled with new activities and some plein air paintings. This painting was copied from my photo shot downtown near the market. Pastel on Canson Mi Tientes, 24 x 18" .
When paintings are done out in the field they are called Plein Air. This was my set up with a French easel in Sonoma at an art group outing at the Cline Winery. The oil on canvas is 24x30".
I enjoyed transcribing the appearance of the area into lines that followed the forms of this landscape. Pastel on Canson Mi Tientes, 22x28" California
